World Cup 2014 - A Word of Thank You
A letter of thanks has been sent to the participants of UNIF Futnet World Cup 2014 and all those who made this event a successful celebration of top futnet in a professional setting and, at the same time, a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Dear UNIF members,
dear participants of UNIF Futnet World Cup 2014,
on behalf of UNIF, I would like to thank all those who have made this World Cup possible despite the uneasy circumstances and time constraints.
First of all, a big thank you goes to the Czech Futnet Association and, particularly its President Mr Kamil Klenik, without whose efforts we would not have been able to stage a top event at short short notice. Since the foundation of UNIF, Kamil has been one of the main pillars of all our activities, always committed to the promotion and development of our sport, and I would like to personally thank him for all that he has done for futnet.
Of course, the World Cup was a success also thanks to his highly competent and committed team under the leadership of Mr Jiri Sladek, including Mr Pavel Krupicka, Ms Zuzana Harmincova, Mr Ladislav Bartunek with his online TV staff etc. and others who were willing and ready to help before as well as during the event such as Mr David Lechnyr, Mr Ivan Kralik, Mr Vlastimil Pabian etc. from the Czech Futnet Association.
Second, I would like to express our appreciation to all the players, coaches and officials for once again taking the time and making the effort to come to the Czech Republic and share their passion for this sport with other participants and futnet fans. Without you, there would definitely be no World Cup and we are very happy you made it to Brandys despite the short notice with which the competition had been announced. A special thanks to all non-European teams for whom it is always so much harder to come to a European event - South Korea, USA and, to our great joy, for the first time in our competitions, also Mali and Tunisia.
Third, a very important part of each competition are referees, so our praise and thanks extend to all the World Cup referees led by the Head of Referees Mr Jiri Matyasek and Head of Technical Committee Mr Vlastimil Stehlik for having contributed to the smooth running of the whole tournament. I hope that the World Cup participation will also motivate the referees to the active involvement in the Technical Committee.
UNIF President Mr Klenik, Gen. Secretary Ms Vinanska with Serbian delegates
Last but not least, we were very happy to receive delegations from new countries who have expressed interest in futnet promotion and, hopefully, we can soon welcome them to UNIF family.
We are grateful to Serbia and South Africa for this opportunity to meet their representatives and exchange our views. I can assure you we will do our best to support them in their activities.
Mr Brian Linda Monnapule, delegate of Futnet South Africa
I apologise if I might have missed someone in my list of people and countries to whom I wanted to express my thanks. I respect and appreciate all those who do something for futnet, be it on a national or international level or in their clubs. To all of you, I wish you all the best in 2015 and I look forward to working with you on the promotion of the game we all love!
Best regards,
Zuzana Vinanska
UNIF General Secretary
