Two golds for the home team and record-breaking attendance
Congratulations to the home team of the Czech Republic on becoming the best team of the World Championships with two golds and one silver and congratulation to the organisers on the perfect championships and record-breaking attendance for a futnet event!
In singles, Ondřej Vít suceeded in the revenge match against Georgel Bobis from Romania and won the first medal for the Czech team in two sets. Romania is silver, bronze medal belongs to Switzerland.
Full arena watched a dramatic doubles derby between Czech Republic and Slovakia. The first set went to the home team, but they did not manage to take advantage of a matchball and lost 1:2. Second Czech medal was silver, Switzerland won second bronze.
Czechs and Slovaks met in final once more, in triples. The match was prolonged to the third set again, but this time, the home team celebrated the victory. It was a beautiful closure of the Championship. Slovakia is second, France in third place won its first medal at World Championships. The home team became the most successful delegation of the tournament.

Relive the final day of UNIF Futnet World Championships 2016 as it was broadcast on Czech TV on Sunday, 20 November.
The whole Championship attendance was 6 266 spectators. Thus, this was the most attended Championship in history of this sport. On Sunday, 3 067 spectators visited the arena and enjoyed the unique atmosphere that was ensured not only by the players themselves, but also by our brilliant mascots Ferdy the Ant and Pytlík the Beetle.
Congratulations to all the winners and a very big thanks to the members of the Czech Futnet Association who had worked hard longs months before the event so that the participants as well as the fans could enjoy three days full of top futnet and unforgettable memories!
