Tomorrow starts Interliga 2013
First tournament of Interliga 2013, an international club teams competition with the participation of teams from five countries, takes place tomorrow at 9.00 in Humenné, Slovakia.
Interliga 2013 is organized by the Slovak Futnet Association (SNA), member of international associations EFTA and UNIF, as a long-term competition for the top teams from Slovakia complemented with the teams from Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Ukraine.

Competition system
The league consists of group stage (4 tournaments for all teams) and final stage (1 final tournament for the best 4 teams based on their ranking after the group stage). All tournaments take place on a Saturday.
1st Tournament – Humenné 20/04/2013
2nd Tournament – Revúca 25/05/2013
3rd Tournament – Lodz 08/06/2013
4th Tournament – Vsetin 24/08/2013
5th Final tournament – Košice 28/09/2013 (yet to be confirmed, alternative dates ar 19 or 26 Oct)
Group stage
In group stage, according to the number of participants, the teams are divided into two groups of four. It takes form of tournaments with each match consisting of four sub-matches. Each sub-match consists of 2 sets till 11 (max. score 11:10). Sub-matches order:
first double, single, triple, second double
For the teams on 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th place, the league ends with the group stage
Final stage
The best four teams advance to the final stage. The final tournament comprises 2 semifinals, match for 3rd place and final match for the Interliga 2013 winner. To win a match, the team has to win 3 sub-matches. UNIF rules are applied (two won sets, till 11 points with a 2-point difference, max. till 15). The best Slovak team becomes the Slovak champion of 2013 and gains the right to represent Slovakia in EFTA club competitions.
