Summary of first week in Montreal
In their first week in Montreal, Czech and Slovak players have shown the Canadian audience some great futnet moves in several exhibitions and had a chance to enjoy some of the best matches at Rogers Cup.
The first exhibition as said in the previous article took place on 3 August and alongside the futnet teams of Canada, Slovakia and Czech Republic, featured tennis players Feliciano Lopez (ES) and Marcelo Melo (ARG).
Jaroslav Levinsky demonstrated some great futnet skills
The second exhibition on Sunday, 4 August, was partially affected by the rain which caused interruptions and delays at the Rogers Cup. As a consequence, some of the accompanying activities of the tennis tournament had to be modified. The futnet exhibition was planned to take place at the same court as the first one, but had to be moved to one of the trainingcourts under the rooftop. At least the Slovak and Czech teams had the opportunity to play a match with the star of the Austrian tennis Jurgen Melzer and Jaroslav Levinsky, the coach of the Taiwanese ATP player Yen-Hsun Lu.

To compensate for these changes, the Canadian futnet organisers managed to negotiate for one more exhibition at the Rogers Cup on Friday, 9 August, the day of the quarterfinals.
Top Czech and Slovak showed some typical futnet skills such as smashes, dropballs with a backspin or spikes as well as added some flavour to the exhibition with things such as a triple block (blocking by three players). Then they played 2 sets, with each side winning one and later were accompanied by one Canadian player on each side, playing 4x4.
At the weekend, both teams had a rest, relaxing at the hotel swimming pool or watching in person the closing matches of the Rogers Cup, including the semifinal between the top two players Nadal and Djokovic.
On Saturday they spent a very nice afteroon at Martina Pillarova's (former Slovak player) house, enjoying some great homemade goulash and Slovak and Czech liquors. And, of course, remembering the good old futnet times...
