Participants: "1st Futnet Camp - total success!"
First International Training Camp for men that took place a few weeks ago in Nymburk, Czech Republic, received very positive reviews from both participants and instructors.
The camp was held from 23rd February to 2 March in Nymburk sports centre with the participation of 16 players from 5 UNIF countries – France, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Costa Rica and Austria. The centre is used as a training camp for top Czech athletes as well as a competition venue for basketball and futnet events. It hosted Futnet World Championships in 2008 and 2012.
On Sunday evening the players were welcomed by the coaching team led by multiple World and European Champion from Slovakia Richard Makara. Other instructors also included famous names from world futnet - current or former World Champions - Petr Bubniak, Petr Stejskal and Jiri Doubrava (all Czech Republic).
Every day the participants received two training units as can be seen from the schedule, including the practical demonstration and practice of the correct warm-up, stretching exercises, practice of individual futnet skills such as serving, receiving, passing, smashing and blocking.
Schedule:

On Friday evening the instructurs took the participants on a trip to the beautiful city of Prague.
A nice summary of the camp can be found on facebook of Genilac Futnet Club (France) from which came 4 of the camp’s participants. Here is a shortened version in English:
"Our players spent a week in the Czech Republic, in the excellent Nymburk sports centre for an intensive training camp.
A week rich in sporting and human emotions! A total success: quality of instruction and facilities, quality of accommodation and hospitality, knowledge-sharing, friendliness and good fun. These are the ingredients of an unforgettable week!
A great thank you to all the instructors who have coached us all the week with a smile and easiness. What a privilege to be coached by the world champions in this way! Thanks also to UNIF for organising the camp and Mr Abdelkrim Abour for having spread the word. The organisation of such event is a very good thing for futnet!"
Thank you, Genilac Futnet Club, for these kind words, we are very glad that the camp was not only a great learning experience, but also a chance to meet nice people and have good fun. More events like this can definitely be expected in the future.
