Minutes of UNIF Congress
UNIF Extraordinary General Assembly, held on 7 of October in Venaco, France, adopted several important decisions regarding the current structure of the organisation and its competitions. The minutes of the Congress are now available.
According to the new Statutes, the Minutes of the Congress shall be sent to the members within 45 days of the termination of the Congress. Members will then have 20 days to submit any comments or objections. In the absence of any objections within the 20-day period, the minutes shall be considered adopted.
Some of the main conclusions of the Congress:
Mr David Solano from Costa Rica was elected UNIF's new president to replace the outgoing Massimo Nobile.
As the current legislative term ends next year, UNIF general elections will take place in 2012 at next UNIF Congress, approved to be held on the occasion of the World Championships in the Czech Republic.
Several statutory amendments were adopted, one of the most important is the creation of a new category of membership for Associate Members.
