International futnet in USA and Denmark
There were plenty of interesting futnet events in June, here we have selected two international tournaments held in less traditional futnet countries. On 8 and 9 June US Futnet Grass Open took place in San Diego, USA, and on 14-15 June first CPH Cup in Copenhagen, Denmark.
US Futnet Grass Open
On 8 and 9 June US Futnet Grass Open took place in San Diego, California with participation of players from five countries: South Korea, Canada, Mexico, Czech Republic and USA (Philadelphia, Los Angeles and San Diego). On Saturday mostly doubles and singles were played, Sunday saw the triples and final matches in all the disciplines.
According to Vlastimil Stehlik, head of UNIF Technical Committee, who participated in the tournament, the overall level was very good and the tournament offered many interesting matches. Some of the players took part in last year’s World Championships in Czech Republic and are preparing for the first big futnet event in Canada to be held on 16-18 August in Montreal.

CPH Cup in Copenhagen
The sports hall at Islands Brygge School was the venue of the first ever CPH Cup on 14 and 15 June. There were men's and women's tournaments, both in the discipline of doubles. The weekend which offered lots of good matches in a positive and friendly atmosphere showed the dominance of Czech teams in the men’s competition and a significant progress by the Copenhagen teams in the women’s tournament.
