Futnet exhibitions at Rogers Cup, Montreal
Czech and Slovak national teams are already in Montreal, Canada, and taking part in showcase exhibitions during the famous ATP tournament Rogers Cup.
Both teams arrived in Montreal on Friday evening and were very warmly received by the Canadian organisers as well as the former Slovak female national team player Martina Pillarova, several times World Champion, who has been living in Montreal for a long time and recently has started to train the Canadian women's team.
From Day 1 the organisers have been demonstrating their kindness and hospitality, arranging the accommodation in a superb hotel and taking care of all the needs of both delegations for which they deserve an extremely BIG THANK YOU.
There are two exhibitions scheduled during the Rogers Cup. The first one took place yesterday at 15.30, starting with the game of the Canadian men's national team, reinforced by Martina Pillarova and two ATP tennis players – Feliciano Lopez (ES) and Marcelo Melo (ARG). Both teams entertained the spectators with some really good technical shots, smashes and bicycle kicks.
This was followed by the exhibition game of the currently best two teams in the world – Czech Republic and Slovakia who showed the visitiors of the Rogers Cup the real futnet with unstoppable smashes, deadly spikes, cheeky stopballs and "high altitude"blocking. The exhibition was a success as demonstrated also by the requests for autographs and photos from various spectators after the game.
Today is the second exhibition scheduled at 14.00 which will feature also Canadian women's futnet team and Montreal Canadians NHL hockey club players. Follow the facebook page of Mondial Soccertennis 2013 as well as Futnet World for all the updates.
