Five golds for Czech Republic!
The Czech Republic became the most successful country at Women’s and Juniors World Championships last weekend, winning all three gold medals among juniors and two golds and one silver among women.
The Czech teams won five finals against Slovakia and only lost one final in women’s single where their player was defeated by her Hungarian counterpart. Apart from one gold, Hungarian players got also four bronze medals. France and Switzerland won one bronze medal each, in juniors’ and women’s single, respectively.
All the updates, results, photos and videos of this event are available on the official webpage of the championships.
UNIF would like to thank all those people who made these championships an unforgettable experience for all the delegations as well as fans. Thanks to their hard work before and during the championships we could enjoy two fantastic futnet days in a great modern sports hall. And a very big THANKS also to all the players, coaches and team leaders who made their way to Brno and gave us the pleasure to see that our work brings fruit and our international futnet family is growing. We were proud to see your progress and, above all, to see the spirit of fair play and friendship. And those of you for whom it was their first international experience, well done on your performances! We know that the beginnings are never easy, but your courage and determination were highly appreciated and many of you showed a great potential.
Thank you, Brno, for a great futnet weekend and we hope to see many of you in less than a month in Nymburk for the Men’s World Championships!
