2012 World Championships
After four years, the most important international event is coming back to the country where futnet was born almost 100 years ago. World Championships in 2012 will be held in the most traditional of all futnet places, in the Czech Republic. Great passion for futnet, the highest number of licenced players in the world and forty years of existence of the Czech National Association are a guarantee of the best possible celebration of this top UNIF competition.
The decision to assign the organisation of 1st UNIF World Championship was taken unanimously by the delegates at the UNIF Extraordinary Congress held on 7 October in France.
The competition will take place in all the disciplines, that means juniors, women as well as men will compete for the world titles. Men's tournament will take place most probably late November or early December in the Sports Centre in the town of Nymburk, near Prague, which hosted also the last World Championship three years ago. The exact dates and venues will soon be confirmed by the Czech Association.
